SKYE HATTEN PHOTOGRAPHY: {It’s Friday!}

I LOVE Fridays.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them.  No really, I kinda just, well, really just adore Fridays.  A typical Friday finds me taking Little Miss to school followed my music class with my little man and for the past two Fridays, I’ve met a dear friend for good visits before lunch…just love her!  I have a lunch date with my little buddy and following lunch, we read stories and enjoy some good cuddle time before he takes his rest.  After his rest, we pick up his sister (I miss that girl, darn school thing.) and the day is open.  I have to be honest, my Fridays are perfect and for me, it’s what it’s all about.  I suppose that if every day was like my Friday, I would lose that sense of appreciation for it but maybe I could do just Fridays like this then for the rest of my days.  It would make me a happy lady.

So, I have to share…I had a session last night that had me laughing for two hours.  These little girlies are nothing short of a complete, ab-tightening riot.  They are beyond sweet and so very funny and their giggles are highly infectious.  I should have known it was going to be so stinkin’ fun when their mom mentioned the questions/comments they were asking her prior to meeting.  “We want to hear her recite the alphabet backwards in under 5 seconds.”  “Is she pretty?”  (only from girls…)  This didn’t stop short of there…the first words out of their mouths when they got out of the car was “Okay, sing to us.”  The entertainment continued as this was followed by me taking photos of the older one and from 2 inches over my shoulder I hear, “Oooh, that was a good one.”  Ummm, hello???  Instant confidence builder!  This was indeed the kick-off to two hours of nonstop giggles for me.  To take a bit further, yes, at one point in the session I was on the other side of the camera posing with each of them and at another point I have someone on my back while I’m taking photos.  For a moment, I wasn’t quite positive whether I was home or at a photo session.  Let’s just say that I didn’t have the slightest difficulty instilling a level of comfort into them…it was a done deal from the beginning.  Big hugs and big goodbye’s left me with a big smile going home.  I have a feeling these little girlies do this for many others and likely have no idea how special they really are…just a hunch.

I have known their mom for well, six or so years I guess.  (I know, I’m turning into one of those old people who now gives a number of years known for each person they cross paths with.  Note to self, stop that.)  I’ll leave this very simple.  She is amazing.  Yeah, I know that term gets thrown around and thrown around.  But I mean that from the bottom of my heart.  She is just that.  Amazing.  I couldn’t have been happier and more thankful for the opportunity to give something back to her.  Ms. M, thank you…can’t wait to show you the rest!

Didn’t I say they were funny?
