SKYE HATTEN PHOTOGRAPHY: {Chris – 2011 Senior…}

So, we (as in his mom and me) have had this session in the works for a LONG time!  I couldn’t be more excited to get the opportunity to put this one together.  My mom has been friends with Chris’s mom for years.  They used to work in the same building…his mom working in a public health department office.  When I went to college, let’s just say that I received a very lovely care package from the ladies in this office – the care package filled with all your normal care package items with the comic inclusion of an abundance of multi-colored ?prophylactics.  I was certainly far too driven in college to have needed these but I continued to carry this joke along and had kept some in my coat pocket because they were indeed kind of a kick in the pants; however, I have to say that it wasn’t so funny (or maybe funnier!) when I was reaching for my wallet at a cash register during a busy Christmas stroll in Butte, Montana and as I pulled my wallet out, well, along came an entire string of these multi-colored packets.  As if that wasn’t embarrassing enough, a professor happened to be standing near the register (along with several other nice people just enjoying the holiday season) and began to bend over and pick them up.  I nearly died.  I think I had at least one incident like this a week my freshman year.

Anyway, I digress a bit…I think the last time I saw Chris, he was just a little guy and let’s just say that well, now, he’s certainly NOT a little guy…eek!!  For those who don’t know, I’m a whopping 5′ 2″ and I embarrassingly, nearly always carry around a stool and/or ladder during my sessions.  There was certainly good reason for this one…he could squash me if he really wanted to.  He wouldn’t though because he has grown to be plainly just such a nice guy.  He has goals and has values and is a great conversationalist – it’s just so amazing to see what people turn into.  I can’t wait to see where he goes!

Thanks so much K family for spending some time with me – as always, it was great seeing you…can’t wait to show you the rest of your images!
